The projected cargo turnover of the general cargo terminal is 5 million tons per year. The facilities are situated on the southern side of the straight.
The reception of cargo is from the sea transport. The outgoing delivery of cargo is done by both the sea and automotive transport.
The terminal is located on a newly created 20 hectares area. The storage platform is situated on the mainland area. The pier is projected to occupy both the mainland and alluvial soil.
The complex includes:
- 640-meter long pier with the depth near the border 20.0 meters;
- Storage locations for stacking cargo with the total area of 12.5 hectares;
- Granary with the area of 950 square meters;
- Refrigerator with the area of 4000 square meters;
- Freight fronts with three mechanized lines providing unloading, stacking, and transshipment of cargo towards freight fronts;
- Loading mechanisms including: gantry cranes “Condor” with maximum carrying capacity of 40.0 tons and boom length of 32.0 meters and “Mark-40” with maximum carrying capacity of 40.0 tons and boom length of 34.0 meters;
- The park of forklift trucks with maximum carrying capacity from 1.0 tons to 10.0 tons for operations in the hold of the vessel and on the storage plant;
- Utility structures;
- Service and common facilities for 110 people per shift;
- Storage rooms for parts, rooms for equipment with compartments for inventory and rigging;
- The shed for the parking lot for 25 forklift trucks;
- Storage hangars with the total area of 1.2 hectares.
