The terminal is projected to receive and ship bauxites with cargo turnover of 40 million tons per year and is situated on the southern side of the straight. The storage platform for cargo is situated on the mainland area. The pier is projected to partially occupy the mainland area and partially the alluvial soil (the soil from dredging), and is partially connected to the viaduct. The total area is 40.8 hectares. The cargo pier is 1680 meters long and can serve three vessels simultaneously. The pier is projected to serve all main types of vessels from mini-bulkers with deadweight under 10 thousand tons to Seawaymax-type vessels with deadweight from 20 to 50 thousand tons and Handymax with deadweight from 15 to 50 thousand tons with maximum vessel size under 330 meters and drought — 15.9 meters.
